Another picture stolen from (Lim) Halim.
I was thinking whilst in the toilet today (yes, okay, weird place to have deep thoughts, but whatever), &I realised that I actually agreed with something K said. It was something about how she doesn't believe in mollycoddling (my mind instantly jumped to Harrry Potter, last instalment, where this word was used as a pun) us cos the world's not like that.
I don't really agree with the first part, nor about how she's going about un-mollycoddling us (ie. making us go crazy), but I do agree that we need toughening up. Everytime I tell my dad about school&how it's driving me insane, he basically tells me to suck it up. At first I thought he was being really mean about it, but I realise now that he isn't, cos it's true. If I had bothered to listen past "You have to deal with this, girl" and heard "you'll have to deal with things like this all your life, so it's better to learn now than when it's too late", I would have realised earlier that my dad was imparting wisdom, not being insenstive.

I hate it when I'm unable to detach myself from things, because it's too close for me to be able to do so. It already irks me in the first place, then it's elevated by my inability to disallow it from irking me.

LOVE,
